Inspiring Learning Through the Arts

Shrek Jr.

Students, staff, and community members worked together to put on the production of Shrek Jr. Where our students got to experience the roles of storytelling.

  • Two children in costume, one as Princess Fiona and the other as Shrek, pose against a black backdrop.
  • A smiling young woman holds a script for "Shrek The Musical Jr."
  • A group of children in matching yellow wigs and red sparkly skirts stand on a wooden stage.

House Placement

Kindergarteners meet at the beginning of the year to determine which house they will be in for the remainder of their elementary years, creating community within their school. They used golden eggs as a surprise to find out which specific house they would be part of.

  • Three children sit cross-legged on a light-colored floor, looking in different directions.
  • A woman and a young girl smile, holding a stuffed lion and event papers.
  • A woman in a blue blazer joyfully holds a dolphin balloon at an event.

Egg Drop

The fifth-grade team invited the local fire department to their "Egg Drop." Students were tasked with building a structure to house their eggs for launch from the top of the fire truck. Their design and creativity played a big part in this project!

  • young girl holding project
  • fireman dropping item from top of truck
  • boys laughing
