Building Academic Excellence

Chinese New Year

Gong hei fat choy! This traditional greeting means “Wishing you great happiness and prosperity!” On the first day of Lunar New Year, our first graders filled the halls with joy and festive spirit during their parade. Afterward, they gathered in the gym to sing together and twirl ribbons in a beautiful dance.

  • Children in a line hold up colorful, handmade dragon masks they have created.
  • Children in a gymnasium practice with colorful ribbons on sticks.
  • Children in a school hallway watch a student in a colorful outfit holding a handmade dragon mask.

Olympic Knowledge

Our students completed different activities in their art and music classes to learn about the strength and culture of the Olympics.

  • A girl joyfully dances with colorful scarves in a classroom setting.
  • A young girl with an orange painted hand smiles and holds it up in front of her face.
  • Two young boys are focused on coloring pictures with markers at a table in a library.

Parent Conferences

Our students took the lead in showcasing their progress during "Student Lead Conferences" – a remarkable event where growth was shared with families, community members, and RSS staff. A truly rewarding experience for both students and their captivated audience!

  • A smiling teacher and a young student look at a paper and a tablet in a classroom.
  • A woman in a red dress and a young girl in a pink dress sit on the floor, looking at a tablet.
  • A teacher guides a young boy with red hair as they work on a worksheet at a table.
